Offensive culture bus In cooperation with 40 Berlin venues for young audiences, the “Culture Bus Offensive” is running, which is characterized by the large number of participating institutions as a nationwide pilot project. Together with the bus company BVB.net - Bus Verkehr Berlin KG Omnibus GmbH, free return trips from the respective school or day care center to the participating cultural locations are offered. During the bus transfer and in the cultural institutions, the children form the same cohorts as in the educational institutions. In this way, cultural visits can work as a communal experience, even if the current hygiene requirements are complied with. The aim is to give children and young people barrier-free and equal access to art and culture and to ensure participation. Against this background, the cultural bus offer particularly addresses those educational institutions whose location and connections make it difficult or impossible to visit performances. The culture bus initiative will continue in the new year! Dear educators, After we have received the confirmation from the Senate Department for Culture and Europe, I am delighted to inform you that we can still carry out the Kulturbus offensive until June 30th, 2022! By Christmas 2021, we have given around 7000 (!) Children and young people barrier-free and safe access to your cultural offerings through 234 trips. The response to the project and the feedback from the participants have been extremely positive! To register for the Offensive Kulturbus, please arrange a performance visit with Theater JARO and state your request for transport.

We have found a way that pieces from the Jaro Theater can come to your home!

And the response is very good. Audience quotes: "The dinosaur is the best theatrical film so far, in terms of technology, I mean. And the children say: Next, the school dinosaur, please!"
We are working flat out to film more of our plays! The link costs € 12 soli fee each and is valid for 28 days. So you can see the pieces with your children as often as you would like! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Stay healthy and we hope to see you soon!
Your JARO theater
Martin Pölzer and Katja Behounek-Pölzer have been running Theatre JARO for over 25 years, a theatre with Prague roots (Jaro means spring in Czech). The Theatre and Plays have an individual style, due to the cooperation with various directors, actors and musicians as well as a combination of puppets and acting with accordion music.
Theatre JARO wins award! Theatre JARO was awarded the ‘Cultural Workers Award’ for Children and Youth Theatre by the Senate of Cultural Affairs. We want to thank you for the recognition of our work at Theatre JARO.
